Two post is one day! Say what!??

Linking up with Long Distance Loving for Friday Fancies. It's been forever since I did this link up but when I saw this weeks topic, I was all over it! Favorite summer treat?
Why, Strawberry-Mango Vodka of course!

Actually anything vodka works (but tha's beside this point) this might be my new favorite and I am serious loving this dress!

Want to make it yourself? It's easy! Make some homestlye Strawberry-Mango Lemonade (see receipe below)...add your favorite vodka...slice up a fresh lime and there ya go!  A sweet and refreshing drink so sipping on the back porch!

Homemade Strawberry-Mango Lemonade

Ingredients
2 pt fresh strawberries
2 mangos
2 c sugar
1 small orange
1 round slice of lemon handful of fresh mint leaves
12 qt water (in a 24 quart stock pot)

Directions
1. Fill half of stock pot with lid. (You can also use a smaller pot, just use less fruit and sugar.)

2. Wash all fruit. Slice tops off strawberries. Cut strawberries in half and put in pot. If some strawberries are small, just put them in whole.

3. Peel mango, slice into quarters and add to pot. Cut orange into slices; add about 3 slices (with peel on) to the pot. Stir. Cover and bring to a slow boil.

4. Add sugar. Cover and lower to a simmer. Let simmer for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

5. Add mint leaves!

6. At this point, strawberries should be losing their color and the mango should be pretty shredded and dissolved looking. Taste the juice. Add sugar if its too tart. Add water if its too sweet. Cover and simmer 15 more minutes.

7. Take pot off stove and put in a place where it can cool. Let cool mostly before serving, although some like to drink this warm / hot.

8. If you like pulp, the pulp will be resting at the bottom. If you don't, use a strainer to separate juice from pulp.

9. Store juice in fridge in an empty bottle or airtight pitcher. It will be good for about 5-7 days in the fridge.
